There it is Barry, instead of holding a carrot before them let's get the teachers hopping on the band wagon-energized and mesmerized. The problem with our educational policy is that those who are brainstroming have never been in the storm. There is plenty of good research, from authentic educators, not Harvard MBA's, that can help solve the problems plaguing our educational community.

I totally agree with your comment on merit pay. We need to focus on building capacity and supporting teachers instead of dividing them. If there are those who cannot get with the program we need to exert the ol peer pressure method and help them find a new 'parachute.'
