Please do The Healing Pen. In Detroit area, or somewhere exotic where we can all go for no travel money LOL (saving the money for the value of your materials and presence).
Na Ding! Na Ding! There's a song in that somewhere. No time to write it now. I'll get back to ya! mmmm. There's a dance to it, too. I can just feel it.

Hey Barry! Julian's doing great, and Matilde's deciding. Let's do talk soon! Come back to Texas....come back to Texas.... Are you traveling somewhere wonderful this summer?
Not sure if he knows him or not. I will see if he does. Been gone back East for three weeks and head to Disney World with Tracy and fam in two weeks for a couple of fun filled days. Wanna come? Miss ya and hope we can all hook up soon. Doing an event with Art on Wed. Erin Gruwell is joining us.
Thanks, Barry. It was an inspiring time with you in Detroit last week. I used to write a lot as a kid, but now so much has gone on, it's waaaaaay too frightening to even begin to lift the cork. If I will ever try again, it's because of your respect for the writer. I just wanted you to know that your respect for writers (kids and adults) makes all the difference. you rock!!
Funny you should show up on my computer. I've been thinking about you all day. Never done this stuff before. Not really sure how it works. I am in the classroom and I agree with your merit-pay remark. Could turn teachers into suspicious sharks, I would think.
Inspiration is really the perspiration that makes you so uncomfortable you have to move, wiggle, or shake. At times, the dazzling results seem easy to the uninformed observer. Individuals, like yourself, make the movements seem so easy that they fool one into thinking, “If Barry can do this, so can I!” Alas, we both know that a lifetime of “wiggling” went into the chronicles of “Barry’s Easy To Replicate Methods of Pulling Teeth From Chickens and Winning a Pulitzer Prize for Writing.”(LOL)
Blood, Sweat, and Tears made many a day passable with a beat you could move and dance to. I can’t carry a tune but I can still “wiggle.” Blood, sweat, and tears is what a typical journey of teaching others HOW to teach OTHERS to share their thoughts requires. (Richard Simmons is wealthy ‘cause he glorifies the ATTEMPTS made to become a better you, while forcing ACCEPTENCE of whoever you are or will become.)
Writing is never static---It changes each time we attempt to state or clarify or reason or whatever, even the grocery list.
Again, Asante Sana for the opportunity to share my thoughts. I welcome examination and comments of the streams that flows through Bernie Carroll’s so called mind.
Jambo Barry,
I just accepted your kind invitation to join with others, like yourself, who are still fascinated and amazed at what one person can do to add value to lives and change the world.
I am sitting at my secretary's desk, since my internet is on the blink.
Why am I at school on a beautiful spring Saturday afternoon you ask? I had a notion to make myself available to parents, staff, community and students at times most convenient for THEM, hoping to continue to drive our school family forward. Since 11 am, I have met with 3 parents and 2 students. It was time well spent.
We accomplished a great deal, just by being together today.
Now, alone in the quiet of the building, I scan my email, plodding toward Monday and beyond.
I enjoyed our time together on Wednesday( March 18, 2009 in Detroit, MI). I intend to share the information, materials, and resources from our session with others interested in awakening the voices within. I look forward to sharing my thoughts concerning my efforts with you and others in this forum.
Asante Sana.
Here is a place to post your Wacky We-search Reports. Post each report as a new discussion, or if you are a teacher you can post similar reports in the same blog ie: Drug Ads etc.. Can't wait to see all the examples.See More
"I have lots of poetry and bookmaking ideas on my website, and also some poems written by me and my students. In April 2013 I published an article title Seven Poetry Games. You will find something for all ages there. …"

Interesting place here...it'll be fun to see what all it can do!
This looks cool... thanks for creating it!
And, yes, I'm in Nashua. With 160 teachers: Heaven!
Here's hoping Carol-lee agrees to your joining us at the Natick slam, 14 Summer St., Thurs., March 26 (sign up at 6:45, slam at 7).
Warm thoughts, -Geof
