Anna is a girl who was born for one specific reason. To be an allogeneic donor-a perfect match for her sister.Kate is Anna's sister,Kate has acute promyeloctic leukemia.Anna donates stuff like blood, bone marrow.lymphocytes, and much more.
Kate and Anna are normal teenage girls. They play around, make jokes, dance, and do normal things. Except when Kate gets a nosebleed or a bruise her mom,Sara, rushes her to the hospital.Sara makes all medcal decisions. But, when the only left to do is a kidney transplant, Anna files for a medical emancipation.
Not only is this a novel of medical things, it has a 'bit of romance. The first hook-up is Kate and Taylor Ambrose. They meet during one of their treatments. They hit it off...until something tragic happens. The other love birds are Alexander Campbell,Anna's attorney, and Anna's guardian em litem, Julia Romano. They knew each other since high-school,but their "relationship" is choppy.
This book was absolutely amazing.I never would've guessed about how it ended. This author,Jodi Picoult,is,to me,a really kind of deep writer. She put alot of feeling into each persons character,or point of view. The genre is fiction, but alot of this story can really be done in real life. Once again I love it and I would NOT recommend this book to just anybody. Only to people who have a heart or who can understand diffrent point of views.
