Jeremy, pearl jam,can you fuiger out what it means?

At home
Drawing pictures
Of mountain tops
With him on top
Lemon yellow sun
Arms raised in a V
The dead lay in pools of maroon below

Daddy didn't give attention
To the fact that mommy didn't care
King Jeremy the wicked
Ruled his world

Jeremy spoke in class today
Jeremy spoke in class today

Clearly I remember
Pickin' on the boy
Seemed a harmless little f***
Oh, but we unleashed a lion
Gnashed his teeth
And bit the recess lady's breast
How could I forget
He hit me with a surprise left
My jaw left hurtin
Oh, dropped wide open
Just like the day
Like the day I heard

Daddy didn't give affection
And the boy was something mommy wouldn't wear
King Jeremy the wicked
Ruled his world

I think it is about how anger and rage is passed along. It finds its way out and more people get hurt.

Jeremy was supposed to be all the surfers in Seattle
&& Mommy&&Daddy were all the people who would reject them from their City

This song, written years before Columbine, has stayed on the outer edges of my heart.

I did not get this until the secind time I read it.But that is fine. I think it is about a boy who acted up to get his parents attention, somethin like that.Am I right? Uhh Can you just comment back I would really like to know what is the significance of it.
