"It's only a letter," mom finally said, and before i could stop her she broke away from me and picked it up, slipping a single sheet of papper from the open envolope. "Short and to the point," she said and read aloud, "Get out ok kluney befor its to late!"
Kate Gillian and her mom moved to Kluney, a small texas town, they think they would have a peaceful six-month stay, but they where so wrong. Their house was being watched. They where knocking out the lights. They where breaking in. Could this have anything to do with the murdered carnival worker? Kate's missing friend? Or the artical kate's reporter mom is working on? Somethings wrong in Kluney and Kate seems to be in the middle of all of it.
As I read "Shadowmaker" I was automaticilly drawn into into Kate's word. As if was her. Living her life and trying to solve the mystery of whats going on in Kluney. I could see, hear, and feel everything that was going on as i read this book.
Joan Lowery Nixon wrights a fictinol story about a brave, curious, smart girl that just wants to go back home as soon as possible, but ends up in this giant, out of controll, mess. Not knowing who to belive or to trust shes on her own in solving this case cause no one else seems to care.
I was shoked, amazed and tottaly head over heels for this book. It starts of interesting and to the point. No dull and boring moments in this book! I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to get lost in a good mystery. That makes you think and put the clues together yourself, then leaves you in awe when you figure out you had it all wrong at the end. It truly is a great read.
