I ain't bipolar

Believe me

I ain't bipolar

it's your fault

I lie here flat

my possum hair smooshed

under the tread of your heavy

heeled conformities

lift me up.

All you have to do

is show me that you can be

trusted to

see me

the red balloon.

Believe in me

Oh today!!

It seems that the child is bipolar
alas
yes
high one moment like
that red balloon floating across the sky,
and the next,
a flattened possum
laid waste
lifeless
below
invisible freight
tread
alas
yes
it seems that the child is simply an 8th grader
