Building the Wonder
School started on Monday.

Today, my students presented their Cereal Box Book Reports to their classmates. Annika* presented her book report on a book entitled How Underwear Got Under There: A Brief History by Kathy Shaskan and Regan Dunnick. She referenced bustles at one point in her report,… Continue

Can it really be that bad?
We just finished our portion of the state standardized testing. Insert heavy sigh here!
Is it just me that feels like a colassal failure after testing is complete? I mean, I realize that I'm not perfect ... never will be. However, I also feel like I did a solid job of preparing my kids for the test ... for 5th gradem for that matter. And yet, as I milled about the room and caught some of the answers to questions, I couldn't help but feel the bottom drop out of my year. It's like I… Continue
