WritingFix is an awesome website. Spending time there is what lead me to this site!

I am new to this group. Where can I find Gretchen's activity? It sounds interesting from all of your comments

Since both of my teenagers play instruments, I see many potential lessons that they can participate in. I am busy planning the potential of this lesson. Music is a huge part of the local school district. They will enjoy and be able to easily incorporate this writing lesson. Great idea.

I love it G.

Verbs are like the pistons in the sentence. Here is another buff verb to add to the list. Post the songs on the main page music player so they will show up here.

Gretchen's "Ba -Da - Bing" is brilliant! I've used it for years. Reluctant writers relish the simplicity and are astonished at THEIR writing after just one sentence!

I've used it too! It really captures the kids imaginations., and they feel empowered after the lesson!

I love, love, love this activity. I've done it every year since I first learned about it three years ago and always have success. Students love using this method to create sentences. This is an excellent lesson when you are covering sentence variety.
