I plan to teach this novel this year. This is one of the songs I will use. First, it is Niel Young at his best.
I am going to use it as a an introduction to a Socratic seminar/talk/chair...after we read about the section where the guy sees the Vietnamese man die and he repeatedly reviews the incident. I also have considered it for tone, in a unit with a history teacher over the 60's, and I just want to do a week of Niel Young and Why his songs are relevant.
