I like to embed my whole lesson on a SMARTBoard file so that it's cued up and ready. I'm having trouble finding the segment I want to show and figuring out how to put it into a SMART file. My husband says I may need to convert it. Any tips, or do I just have to treat the DVD as a golden treasure to be removed from the vault and shown VERY carefully each time I want to use it? Help! (Old dog learns new tricks very slowly.)

I think programs like Mac the ripper and others convert DVDS to Mp4 or AVI files. I suggest you find a geek bearing techno gifts. Hooked is also on YOUTube at my Channel barrylane55. If your class can join they can comment on the video and we can correspond. YouTube might be blocked at your school. I hope this helps.
Elizabeth,

I am going to be working with a company called Promethean to create software for Smart boards and we are starting with hooked. I will get you free copies if you test it with your class.

Please send me some copies of the SmartBoard program, Barry. I will definitely use it and I will review and give feedback as you need it. I love my SmartBoard and use it frequently, so this program would most certainly be a hit.
